Paper Birds, which premiered last month at the Tribeca Film Festival, is the story about Toto, a short-sighted child with exceptional musical talent. He must fight his way through the world of darkness to find his sister who’s been abducted by mysterious shadows.

The film is a half-hour-long virtual experience from award-winning animation studios 3DAR and Baobab Studios. It’s neither a movie nor a video game but combines immersive storytelling with light interactivity. The first part is available in the Oculus store, and if you pick it up now, you’ll also have access to part two when it launches.
