Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

how to model a bird's nest

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with even starting to model a bird's nest.

Is there anyone who can give me some tips on how I could achieve modelling a realistic looking bird's nest ?

I'm sure there must be other ways to model a nest without having to model every single twig / leaf and arranging them into looking like a nest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ^^.

Thanks~

I guess you could use paintFX.

Depending on how close the camera would be to the nest you could build it from overlapping polys or nurbs and texture map them utilizing the alpha channel.
