This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

The cannon will cover about a third of the octagonal base in the first pic (although the base will change completely. There will also be a cockpit for the pilot, and 2 other units, one mounted at the back and another to the other side.

and as for the plans.... aah I don't want to spoil it user added image

The drive section of the leg is complete, and I added a little more detail to the legs. you can see the pipes here. I need to figure out how to get the drive gear to turn in the opposite direction to the gear on the leg joint.... looking that up now.

<update> got the gears meshing with set driven keys, thanks to kevin for the free SDK tutorials.

I have a rendered anim of the gear section turning, but it's too big to post, even as a rar. I'll see if I can compress it a bit more.

here is the leg joint section complete now, apart from two bits I will do at the end. this will attach to the base when that is done.

Taking great shape Ed !!

Have you designed a walk cycle yet? That can be difficult with only 2 legs, I think you have your work cut out for you with 8....

Also, if you need a place to upload video, you might try: https://savefile.com/ . Free file hosting of up to 60MB per file.
