I had a play around and feel much more comfortable now with how this all fits together. I managed to do what you said. I have refined the model a little and re-done the paint job. just hoping i can come back to it later when I have learn't how to use photoshop! At least i have a model now. I'm putting his bones in next user added image

Thanks again for the help. Id still be flumoxed without this site!
