Problem with automatic Map

hello,
i have troubles with a tutrial (haunted house). i try to automatic map this object: user added image

but the result should be like this: user added image

can anyone help?

look @ the textur editor.my automatic map(top picture) is so weird in comparison to bottom.

I agree with murambi...auto is goof for basic shapes but really much fun in more complex geo. You will end up doing a fair bit of cut and sew to orientate the UV so its neat enough to send to PS to paint...I think the automatic map name is a misguided one.

a) make sure to reset the automatic mapping in the options box before you try it. That might be why it's different
b) automatic mapping isn't so bad as an initial step, but yeah, it does require some fiddling and cleanup.

i've reseted this tool but nothing happens.
