Water Fall

I am a complete newbie to maya and any CG graphics program thingy type stuff and was wondering where I would go or what to look into to find out how to make a waterfall scene with flowing water and all that stuff.

I think you need to look into Fluids, but i don't know how to make it eiter just a n00b also user added image

I'd start with something simpler user added image
