graph editor/driven key problem

i've made attributes for a model, with driven keys for certain actions like punching, etc. i noticed though that sometimes when i rotate the left arm, that it freaks out between keys, because it's going from a Z rotation of 300 to -30 for example, so it rotates the wrong way. i opened the graph editor to manually fix it, but i realized that by using driven keys, that the rotation etc. of the arm isn't shown. i see a black line which represents the driven key, and that's it.

so how can i use the graph editor if i'm using driven keys? i could just key each frame until it's alright, but it's going to get annoying if it keeps happening...

,

are you using IK chains?

if so, i feel your pain

I'm forever tweaking the tangent of these IK chains on animation..so like if i have a key set for motion, i tweak the chain on each key if it calls for it.
i figure it's to do with the negative value crosses it's 'plane' of reference so the chain flips.
