Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

how do i export my animation?

i hav created a 100 frame animation and would liek to export it to .avi

i hav autodesk maya 2008.

how do i do this?

It' not a good idea to render straight to Avi from Maya as it doesn't do the greatest job in the world, but instead you should render an image sequence which you can create an AVI from in another package.
