Motion curves??? Help!

I believe I have seen that there is such a way to make a curve based on the motion of an animation.
So take a characters hips - when a character moves, I want to be able to have a curve show the exact movement of the hips from the first keyframe to the last.

Is it possible?

I don't know about showing a curve, but you could ghost the object over several frames.

Yes, you can do this. Simply select what you want to show the motion path for (in your case, the hip joint/control/whatever), then under the animation menu set go to animate -> create motion trial (option box) and make sure that draw style is set to line , and voila!!
