It won't work with "Documents and Settings". Make a folder at "C:/" called GIJoe and put the GIJoe.lights file in it. The edit the script to "C:/GIJoe/GIJoe.lights"

ok done that now i opened script editor then opened file then went to open script and pointed to the Gijoe mel script
but nothing happened.

ok so you put the GIJoe.lights in C:/GIJoe/GIJoe.lights. Then open notepad and open the script file change the path on line 57. Click save. Then reload maya. The type "GI_Joe;" in the command line.

and the .mel file is in ...My Documents/Maya/Scripts

lmao what a dumbass i was puting the mel script in the script folder for maya learning edition i had on my comp ages ago!
its all cool now really appreciate the help hope i can do the same for u sometime. user added image

Sup guys ok nearly finished heres a rough idea on how ill be presenting my finished entry.
Been working on renders all weekend.
Still needs some texturing here n there. Sorry for the large pic its so i could fit the whole pic on and not lose 2 much detail. user added image

the back view (bottom left) looks like it should have a little more contrasted shadow.

been practicing and learning with some hdri's post some up tomorrow, finished texturing the filter too.
