This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

yep cloth - been reading the art of rigging and they make it look so easy that I wanted to give it a try and its dead easy.

#there is a cloth test video further up the page just after the hair test which I`m scapping as I don`t like hair.

I got my B.A in Swansea Institute. The course was OK - if you like alot of paper work

Looking good man.

Just finished My Bsc, know what you mean about paperwork. You got anything lined up now?

I'm going back to uni to do my Phd, so even more paperwork.

Looking forward to seeing some more progress.

Cheers

@ gster123 - I hated it, and being dislexic was was a pain in the rear. At least on a BSC you dont have to do a disation.

@ THX1138 - Thank you. I`m really happy with the chair at the mo. The main texture was just a scan of a carpit patten found on google and the tounge texture was from a ref photo from www.3d.sk which I have been a member of now for 4 years. The rest are just simple colors done in photoshop. Cant diside if imgoing to bother apply a wood texture to the legs and stuff yet as the browny/yellow has gone on me.

Bet that was hard going.

On my Bsc I had to do a min 12000 word dissertation, think everyone doing a Bsc at my uni had to...

as you can see will not need to .....

well this is the final pose I wanted for this image, but loaded the wrong file (no new textures on this one.) need to tweak the lighting abit, but only to bring the details out on the chair.

I like the hairdo on your character tweetytunes, very teenage user added image
Maybe a little more might be needed as he looks like his roots are showing.

As an idea, how about a very slightly cracked open kitchen door somewhere in the background to give another light source and add to the tension?

Yeah - I agree with T1ck. Another light source coming from a cracked door would definitely help your scene. It would be cool if you could see some of the rest of the room - maybe a couple of other objects. Also this would maybe make for some cool foreboding shadows. Just a thought.
