Go to the Creative Heads website and have a look there. I think you will find the salary varies from company to company, but they tend to be around the same.

C++ is a wide spread job scope as you can get Engine programmers who would be paid more than a C++ scripter.

depends on:

1 who you know in both areas

2 what are your studies & experience

3 what are your natural talents

in that order...

avobe all is what you desire to do, and what youre willing to do in order to manage to do it... when theres will theres allways a way, just that maybe the way is so hard it is not really worth it anyways...
