This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
for free stuff you can go to www.fineart.sk or one of the many sites that offer free human refs though they probably won't be as high quality as 3d.sk or something. Got3d for instance.
