This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
In this project I want to make 'pyramid head' from silent hill.
It's one of my favourite characters. A few days ago I saw the silent hill movie and the pyramid head looked really cool that inspired me to model him
it looks cool - but why are you modelling him in a pose - at the moment it's looking kind of awkward and unnatural - i might model him in the T pose and then decide how I want him to stand.
Thanks for the comment
I wanted to bring him in this pose: picture
I found it on google and a lot of the pyramid heads are in this pose. I like it most
nice one man. Would u mind explaining how u did the stitches on the skin coat, i think its all bump mapping but not 100% sure and did u do anything special for the bump mapping all over his coat? just looks real nice
It's just a bump map. The whole skin texture is self-drawn. Then I took the color map, made it black/white and played around with the settings (in photoshop).
ok cool, clever putting the stitches where the uv seam is also.
cat wait to see the final product as I also think he is a great character and wanted to make something similar also, but building up my maya skills at the mo
