Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

looks quite good to me, if you want to have you wireframe show up on your model you can select in your camera window menu view>wireframe on shaded.

How you finding maya after 3ds max? i'm trying to go the other way and learn 3ds max

That's way i started learning Maya.

But it's actually pretty much the same

The only crit I have is the edges at the bottom part of the chair, they seem to add no deformation or add anything to the chair, so I would get rid of them.

looks good so far. I agree though the added divisions for the feet of the chair run into the legs and deform them on the angle.
Otherwise its starting to look pretty good.

As for Maya to Max and vise versa.

I learned 3Ds max and spent about three years working with that and then had to transition to Maya for school.
Overall a lot is the same, but trying to find out where things are and getting the work flow pace back took quite some time.

If you need help finding things in Maya that you had easy access to in Max let me know and I'll see if I can't help. Sometimes the names get lost in translation between software.

I am trying to get back into Max which is a struggle all the same again as I want to use Vray cause im getting into Arch Viz, or atleast I want to.
