Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

The renders look really nice. I agree with the others that increasing the samples will make it look cleaner but renders will take long time. I can't see the noise you talked about in the last ball render. Perhaps you're talking about the slight blurr (fuzziness) of the objects. If so, you can fix that by adjusting the filter in your render settings (quality tab I think). Change it to something like "Mitchell" which will make the render look more sharp. Since you don't have tight details or textures it should be okay to use Mitchell or even Lancoz for the filter setting. Just depends on what kind of look you want.

Oooh that is very nice! user added image . The physical sky can be great, its just gamma correcting textures and colors that can be a pain. It could just be me, but maybe some of the contact shadowing in a couple areas could be darker. Like at the foot of the desk and the bed head.;

The one with the brick wall looks like a cleaner render to me but I really like the lighting of the last render. However...for a 3 min render, that's really good.

Gect T - could you explain what you mean here? There are times when I would like to use physical sky but it always (always) just makes colours look bland. Is this here what you say, 'gammar correcting textures and colours', some kind of answer to the problem???
