This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Maya Transfer maps

Hi!
Im new on this forum and i really hope to enjoy being part of this community user added image I've been working with Maya for approx. 3 years mostly making 3d models for 2.5d games and textures also. lately i really began to experiment with Maya to learn it better. my current problem is this. I am making something that's supposed to be a concrete block using Maya 2009 and Mudbox. I made the low-poly mesh and its Uv map. Then i exported it to Mudbox and sculpted somewhat on it. exported it from Mudbox back to Maya and then tried to transfer the Map from the High-poly mesh to the Low-poly one. Thing is everything works fine exept that after the export i can see somewhat errors on the baked Normalmap.
check these images below.

What happens is that i can see the Low-poly Uvgrid on the Baked normal map, which gives me impact on the final result of the model.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me on this one, I've been trying to figure this out for the last 48 hours but I am still stuck with it and It seems as I cant understand what the problem is. Ive been trying to to the same thing to other objects also but result is still the same. user added image

Seems like either a UV problem, or a problem associated with your transfer settings. Have you read through the documentation on the tool? If you haven't start there. You can also try a tutorial like this one: https://en.9jcg.com/comm_pages/blog_content-art-51.htm

Also, you know you can create the normal maps inside of Mudbox right? Try that user added image
