thanks for everyones interest and comments, i have remade the x wing model and am experimenting with maya physical sun and an ambient fill to try and nail the star wars lighting a bit better.

although still crazy at work in the real world, i am planning an ambitous shot of the imperial and rebel fleet in battle, so i have started modelling the rebel medical frigate, this could take a while..
