metal/chrome thing

I'm being lazy I know, but what combination of shaders and textures is the quickest way of creating an ultra realistic silver/chrome "look"...

Cheers...

Oh, and why do most raytraced shadows look crap?

I suppose a phong or blinn with a low diffuse and a very high reflectivity value would do. Chrome has got no color on it's own and is sorta defined by it's environment so you gotta have a lot of things to reflect onto the chrome to make it look good.
