This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
i have got my fur all set-up and painted all the Equalizer maps and fur maps are all set up and all that, but when i render, the fur flickers, (in an animation sequence) almost like the fur is moving about the character when he moves... anyone know anything about this. ?? any help would be great!
one thing i could think about - if your patches you applied the fur to change the size while animating (like a very tiny stretch), then maya will distribute how many hair each patch has based on the size compared to biggest patch. so you should try to create a very pig plane, apply the same fur on it, and move it outside of the cam. if the fur still swims around, maybe your uvs are not laid out correctly, as fur uses the uvs as well.
