This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Max to Maya scene translation problem

Hi, i am trying to get a render in max . The model was modeled and textured in maya. I exported my scene in 2009 fbx format from maya 2013. when i hit render in max the scene preperation in max takes too long and crashes after...

Is there a common issue i am missing? Can it be about the nodes?

Have you tried exporting as a obj file.............dave

I discovered that, if you don't mesh>cleanup and fix the bad meshes in maya before exporting as fbx, it doesn't render in max !
