just messing around in PFX...it's pretty cool what you can do in it. I personally think people don't take it serious enough

Yes, I like dinking around with Paint Effects. I'm going to see what would happen if you took a large sphere, and painted a starfield on the inside of the sphere and placing my scene inside. Then when you have an animation, you can have that 3d effect of being in space.

Hidalgo, did you check out the small avi file I posted in the "how to create stars" post? That was done with paint fx and a sphere. One thing I did in the clip (you can sorta see it towards the end of it) is that the camera I created for the fly-through is parented to the sphere so when the camera turns, so does the sphere with the stars painted on it. I think it would look better without it though.

Yes, I saw that. I liked it. It kind of had a "warp" effect to it. I'm goign to experiment with that and see what I can come up with.

I can spend hours just fooling around in MPFX... I have just recently discovered how often one can find an excuse to use it! =]
