Move object to camera view?

If your miles away from the centre of your grid and you create a new object, is there a way of moving the object to the centre of your camera, rather then pressing F to focus on the object at centre grid?

What I do in situations like this is I hit W to select the move tool, then hold down X for grid snap and MMB nudge somewhere in the screen. The object will pop on your screen (that is if you didn't deselect it after creation).
