There's some serious texture warping on the seat, may want to consider laying out your UVs evenly. The model itself still looks rigid, like the back should be at an angle and so should the legs but that's been touched on already.

Hi Darnell

I have read your thread a bit and I like the fact that you are just digging in the program, but to be quite honest, if I look at one of your snapshots and see a whopping 56000 polycount on a chair it looks to me that you still have a long way to go which is fine off course I would like to suggest however that you'd pick up a tutorial or two just to get a grasp of the basics and how to work your way through Maya it will save a lot of frustration on your side since you will come to understand how and why Maya works.
There are a lot of freebies here onthis site and if you have some money to spare I would suggest buying points here and buy one just to support the guyor gal who made the tutorial and this community off course

by the way welcome to the Simply Maya communityuser added image

Hi Darnell,

They are all downloads, but there's a few free ones to get you started, also check out this site for loads of online help, I know there's tons of sites out there with vids to watch, so this is just one of them, but their tutorials are pretty good.

Hope it helps!

Also there's a ton of Photoshop, Zbrush, After Effects and others to look at too!
