Cluster Help

Greetings! I have recieved a file from a friend and I am trying to deconstruct the scene for learning purposes. I have clusters but don't know if they are contrained to say CV's or the surface itself. Is there a way so that I click on the "c" and it will display what it is attached too? There has to be a way......THANKS AGIAN.

PS what is a "thining cluster"? I found it in the outliner
