character rigging

I'm learning maya and I"m now busy with my first character but I can't find a good tutorial for character rigging. Does anyone know one.

and what is the best to do first. rigging or cloth

well.. the tutorial on this site which is a total of 14 points seems to be pretty good by the looks of it. its also a total of 3 hours and 37 minutes!

Definitely check out the tutorials in the VIP section. Mike McKinley's new character rigging tutorials are very good.

i would say do the rigging first, then do the cloth so u can test out whether ur clothing is working properly

rigging is simple, skinning is a bitch user added image
have u built the skeleton yet?

Mikes character rig one rules!! apart from that there are many on the net.. either go to the tutorial links forum and search or hit google user added image

Ive. done it both way with cloth before and after rigging...But I think you should rigg first than cloth...
