Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

animating a stroke along a curve

Hi guys,

In a bit of a pickle at the moment. I've manage to get a brush stroke animating along a curve over time. The trouble i'm having is the front of the curve as it's animating doesn't stick to the curve around the corners. I've attached a screen grab. Any help would be much appreciated

I guess it all depends on how you connected it to the curve in the first place.

Paint Effects > Curve Utilities > Attach Brush to Curves

Go to the stroke shape node attributes and use the Min Clip/Max Clip attributes. To reveal the stroke along the curve. Obviously for animation you could set a key for them.

Min / Max in stroke attributes --> strokeShape --> End Bounds --> Min / Max
