nCloth Penetrating Itself

I'm quite new to the concept of nCloth, and I'm having a bit of trouble.

I modelled the clothes, made it to nCloth and set the character to a passive collider. Added several constraints to keep the clothes "stick" to the body. However, as I play the animation, I realised that the pants penetrate its own geometry. I tried messing with the attributes and couldn't seem to find a way.

I looked up online, and one said to check the "Self Trapped Check" box under the Quality Settings of the Attribute Editor, but the function seems to be locked.

Anyone got any ideas on how to prevent an nCloth to penetrate itself?

Thanks!
