Extrude Animate the tail??

Hi guys

I want to create a game show intro sequence and am using extruded cubes and animating the sub curve.

Only problem is that i cant animate the tail end to finish the animated sweep.

I looked up animation sweep but dont think its really what im after.

All i need is for the extrude to grow along the curve and then the tail end follows.

please helpuser added image

There are lots of potential ways to do this. Without seeing what exactly you're going for, it's a little difficult to pinpoint exactly which would be the best way.

You could, for example, use a Blend Shape to model the tail into the end of the extrude and trigger it at the end of the animation so that the tail shape blends into the model after the extrude happens.

Hey I'm trying to do the same thing right now. Did you figure something out?

I'd just like to be able to animate the beginning of the extrusion to catch up with the front of the extrusion.

I photoshop'ed an image of what I'm trying to get at here.

Kind of like a serpent or something.
