This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
i'm trying to get that head shot for u pony but i'm having some weird prob with my render... i'll post it as soon as i fix it. i added a little detail to the legs... haven't been working on it much lately but it's coming along slowly. c&c?
i've spent some time on the arms... still need to make it a little less boxy as well as putting some work into the feet, hands and the backside. i'm expecting some views but no replies :bored: .
nice one! tails a little thick and when it comes to its feet it needs to be up on its haunches a bit more. constantly ready to move kinda thing. maybe it'll come out at the posing/animating stage. but cool stuff, the detail is incredible . sub-d's or is it all at the base level?
i don't even know how to use sub d's lol.... it's something i've been meaning to learn but never really got around to. plus i haven't been able to find a good tut on how to go about using it. i need to put a bit more work in the tail... hopefully i'll have more of an update by tonight.
geez, thats a lot of work to be putting in on polys . Kurts tutorials are fairly useful, although he doesn't really play around with the different detail levels.
Basically u can swap between fine and coarse levels (convert to sub-d's then rite click-> coarser/finer) letting u add in lines and detail only where its needed. Worth having a play even without any tut's. mite help u a little with this one
