Mental Ray problem with Area Lights

Hi,

My problem started when I switched from 4 spot lights to 2 Area Lights and I get this jagged shadows or unfinished renders.

I thought Area Lights would give the scene softer shadows, that was why I switched. But right now, it is giving me this technical problem. Not to mentioned, I couldn't get even lighting with 4 spot lights.

I use Maya 7. Area Light1: intensity 0.75
Area Light2: intensity 2

Attached is the picture.

Anyone can figure this out? I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks.

yea area lights give you jagged shadows when the intensity is turned up high or is scaled up, honestly i dont know why that happens but if spot ligh6s gave you a better result stick with that instead.
