how to attach 2 nurbs object together

i create one object from nurbs by using curves and loft ...then i wanna acctach it with sphere (nurbs object).

i converted them to polygon and then use boolean-union then merge vertices but it end up very messy ...

any tutorial? for that

project curve on surface to the sphere from the loft then fillet the curve on surface to the original curve. or somthing along those lines.
