Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

wow nice work there!

question though... how did you make the metal plates around the waist and at the base of the shoes? were those modelled using separate polys and connected to the model or were they all created from one poly?

HI deryk, All the plates are separate polys. I made the plates around his waist and shoes buy starting off with a nurbs plains to get the basic shape then turned them into polys, made a copy of the shape pushed it back a bit then extured the edges to give the plates some depth.

I do think it looks really good, but he seems a little small in comparison to the drawing... maybe make his torso area a bit larger in relation to his legs? Looking good!

Played with the upper body a bit made it larger. The drawing is a bit hard to get a good look at the exact proportions because the drawing is a little bit on a little angle looking up. I cant fins a straight front view of him to see exactly the right size.
