Normal Mapping n00b! HELP!

Can anyone recommend a good tutorial or knowledge base for people who are new to normal mapping? I understand the concept behind it, I've just never actually made one in Maya before.

I'm sorry for this off topic thing, but

do you have to express your hate of the Christian religion openly? I mean, as to make it your screen name?

Sorry guys, but that just is, to me, as a Christian, offensive.

I didn't read anything in the code of conduct about prohibiting use of religious opinion in usernames, but if it will make you all sleep better at night, I will henceforth be known as "cutefuzzybunnies".

edit: Well, you lot will have to petition a moderator or something, because there's no way to change a login.

Oh, and I was wrong, that tutorial IS worth two points.

Ok, so I PMed Kevin to see if there's anything I can do. If not, I'll just re-register.

Hindsight, being 20/20, led me to the opinion that a 3D modeling site, and a professional one at that, is no place for religious opinion. While I will not apologize for my opinion, I will apologize for not respecting other members' beliefs.

alright- look I don't mind, and this aint a professional forum (at least me, I'm 13 :p). And I'm sorry I even mentioned the matter, the good, mature thing to do would be for me not to even think about the name and just respond accordingly to the question.
