Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Blurry image plane (Help!)

I am following the dog tutorial to create an image plane but I got a blurred image on the plane:

I am using polygon plane and the material is lambert. The picture i use is the one that comes with the dog tutorial zip file, the picture is clear, not as blur as the one on the screen shot. Can anyone tell me where's the problem? Thanks.

The pic is a bit too big.

Anyway... To fix the prob ya'll have to go to

WINDOW>SETTINGS/PREFERENCES>PREFERENCES

In the window that comes up go to Display and then set the Veiwport textures option to maximum. This may slow down your CPU though.

Hope this helps user added image

I already shrink the picture a bit, is it still to big?

I am using Maya 5 and I cannot find the option about the viewport textures.

If what some guy said is still happerning it could be the graphics card compatability issue . What card have you got?

Or, Just rememberd, increase the texture resolutiuon in the material attribute box.
