Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Dog tut Problem

Hi ive started maya and ive run into a problem, on the cartoon dog tut im on part 3. The director tells me to make the NURBS into polygons, then he selcts each on and presses enter(why he does that he does not tell).Heres the part i cant get past, when i unoine the neck and head togher they dissapear.

Please help.


Q: When i try to use booleans both objects dissappear, why??

A: This is becuase u have combined the objects inncorrectly, make sure there are no open faces in the object, they will esaier to find if u choose display border edges as a thick line. (see 5 post above here), then use merge vertices to combine the sides together
