This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Open/Close Curves

I'm creating a racecourse from a book that I'm reading.
Here's the steps:

1- Go to Top view, and select the EP Curve Tool.
2- Create the outer racecourse
3 - when the last edit point is near the first one, press V (for snapping on a vertex), and move the end point to the first point.
4- Now go to Open/Close curves option box, then Apply to close the curve
5 - Now Rebuild the curve
ETC ETC....

This is the VERY beginning of creating it. I was able to get up to step 3 without a problem. But, when I try to Open/Close curve, I get this error message. "Error: Nothing was selected to close. Select curves or curves on surface"

First, I know it's selected. I tried selecting both ends, but no luck.

This has to be something simple, I just ain't seeing it. Anyone help?

Thanks

EDIT: QUESTION ANSWERED!
