rigging vine

I have modeled a set of five vines and need to work out the best way to rig them. I want their movements to be like a snake and am usure what the best way to achieve this is. If I just rig them with a smooth bind they are to stiff and wonder if there is a better way to get the result I am after.

Any advice is much appreciated,

leon

Still moves a bit to rigid when I move the clusters. Is there a way to fix this and get it to move smoothly.
