Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Animating a fish's basic movement is pretty easy.

Go into the Animation menu set, and click on Deform>Create nonlinear>Sine.

Now if you open up the attribute editor, and raise the amplitude value, you will see the mesh deform. Rotate the deformer so that it's wagging in the right direction. Then animate the offset. Voila! An animated fish!

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
