Is There such a thing as a texture manager?

Maya File Texture Manager like the one you can get for mac?
If there is, does it run independantly or from within Maya?

Also where can I get it from?

All help appreciated.

Not sure exactly, but you can try the Multilister under the Window menu.

Maybe the 'textures' section in hypershade? it lists all your file and procedural textures.
