Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Rendering Shadows and Batch Render

Hello, I have a bit of an issue. I can't seem to get the lighting right in my scene. Everything looks fine in camera1 but rendering the scene makes the shadows look light and barely noticeable. I attached images to show what I mean.

The first image you can see the shadows but in the render you can barely see them.

This second photo shows the position of the lights and their attributes. All three have the same attributes. There is a light in the front of the biped, the back, and one near camera1.

Also, once I learn how to get these shadows to appear properly, I need to batch render the animation which I don't know how to do yet, and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for reading, please help me.

I was able to fix the shadow problem I think that mental ray shadows weren't on and that the lights were too close. Now all I have to do is render the animation into a .mov .avi.

Can someone teach me how to do that???
