Converting problems .....

Hello friends !

I have a good nurbs-mesh - and this I want to export for some render tests in maxon cinema 4d.

I don´t know why, but it sems to bee, that only polygon exported objects (.obj) can be read from maxon cinema.

and here we go:
if I will get a four-sided (no triangle) good mesh, I do the follwoing:
1st: I convert the Nurbs --> SubDiv.
2nd: I convert the Subdiv-->Polys

Well, I don´t know, but the poly mesh will not look like as it should - there are strange distortions on it, which will destroy the wanted look from my nurbs model.

Who can tell me if there is an other way that will work better (exporting nurbs) ?
Which method should I use to get that, what I want to have ?

thanks for every little help,
bernhard

Have you tried just converting Nurbs > Polys? I have a little video going over it at my personal site, if interested. Link's in my sig.
