Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Need a little help w/ Point Snap

I'm aboot ready to snap myself...
I need to be able to move a vert in the same Y direction as another vert. I know you select the vert, press W for the move tool, select the direction you want to move then middle-mouse select the vert you want to match up the Y coord while pressing/holding V. However.. when I do this, the vert that is selected jumps around all over the place except for where it supposed to go. This happens in any single direction or snap type (curve, point, grid.. etc).
I can move the vert directly on top another by selecting all directions and Point Snap, that works, just not in one single direction.
I've uninstalled Maya and reinstalled it and the problem continues.
I use Maya 6.5 at work and at home, but for whatever reason, this problem only occurs at work.

Any suggestions?

Any help is appreciated.
