Get a peek inside Vancouver based VFX studio Image Engine, with this tour of the facilities led by Visual Effects Executive Producer Shawn Walsh.
Vancouver is now North America’s third largest film production center, and has become a VFX hub with many postproduction studios setting up shop here in recent years. Image Engine was founded in 1995 in anticipation of this market boom, and has a strong reputation for producing high-quality VFX.
In 2009 the studio was nominated for an Academy Award for their work on Neill Blomkamp’s “District 9”, and since then they’ve created VFX for films such as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Jurassic World”, “Elysium” and “Chappie”. Earlier this year they merged with CineSite, and the two entities now have more than 500 members of staff between them located in London, Vancouver, and Montreal. They’re currently hiring, so check out this page for more about the jobs available at Image Engine.
