Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

6 leg worm animation

I modeled this guy (see attached) recently and I would like to animata a simple run cycle. Any ideas on how to animate a 6 leg character?

Thanks!

Try to have him waddle, with 3 legs on one side moving forward and then the other 3 on the other side. Make it look like a duck walk though, moving from side to side. user added image

I'm thinking either a sort of accordian motion, where the legs move in left right pairs in sequence or an alternating tripod motion, with the fore and aft legs on one side moving in unison with the middle leg of the other side.

Check out "Mr Waternoose" from Monsters Inc. His the boss of "Monsters Inc" company. He had a similar leg setup so it should make good reference.
