Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Dents in attached meshes?

Hey guys,

I posted this in the newbie lounge but someone told me to move it to modeling so... anyways, I've been working on a character (who I've started again 3 time cuz of this) and whenever I attach the arm and the leg to the body there are dents? Anybody got a solution? user added image

It looks like you might have some internal faces that you'll need to delete. Otherwise, make sure the edges are soft by selecting the joining edges and Normal > Soften Edge.
