Increase Polygon count?

I have modeled a square character, and applied textures to it.
Now, I want toincrease the number of squares/polygons that it has. But when I do so, the textures mess up
completely, Is there a way I can do this without the textures looking weird

Hi,

you should try deleting the history first, then add more subdivisions,

If you go to mesh/smooth options then turn continuity to 0 this will add 4 poly to 1, dont know if this helps............dave

I should have added, once you delete history you can no longer add divisions in the channel box - you can do as Dave suggested, or just go to Edit Mesh > Add Divisions.
