Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Self teaching is purely about competency. There are already online courses that issue degrees and certificates.

Could you point a few out? As I'm unsure where to look for these kinds of qualifications based around Maya. Thanks.

I can think of the Academy of Art, DMAC and Gnomon (I think). You have your research cut out for you though.

No one's going to look at your formal Maya qualifications when you go for a job in this field (unless you want to teach at uni), they'll look at your skills which is why a certificate for watching tutorials wouldn't be that useful.

What are you looking to learn? If you're after animation courses check out https://ianimate.net/ as well, a friend of mine who's a traditional animator went there to and he loved it. They've got some free webinars on their site which are quite funny.

Exactly. Strengthen your portfolio. As a side note, I think Autodesk does Maya certification if you want to teach or what have you.
