This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Simple file conversion help needed

Hey guys,

Was wondering if someone could help me with something really quick. I created something at my school using Max (which is more aggravating than Maya somehow…) and I forgot to make an .obj of it.

It was created with Max 2010. All I need is an .obj.

Thanks,
-Steven Palmesano

I thought there was a max importer with the maya bonus tools - it might be worth checking it out.

But shame on you for the rookie error

Dango77, thanks, but… where's the file??

tweetytunes, haha true, but I didn't think I'd need to use the 3D file when I got home.

The importer is for .3ds, not .max

Jr.Who, I tried to load it in Max and got Missing .dll's for Wave Master, Pro Sound, and Storage and Filter. And Max would not open it. I tried for you.

Challenge me and I will try. Because If I should fail, failure also has a prize (Knowledge).

Hey folks,

Need a quick favor. I made something in Max 2010 and forgot to create an .obj file. Max can be frustrating. Can anyone help convert it to .obj? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
