Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

thanks guys.

Matt;
hehe, that would be funny modeling someone's likeness just by chance.
id like to see a photo of the guy.

i think ZB lighting is so flat, thats why some stuff are not noticeable, like the nose crease.
but i should have spent more time in the nose area when i was starting to model, but i remember getting tons of images and just building peice by peice each area, maybe the nose came out a little awkward.

maybe an occ might show the creases around nose better.

hey Vlad

I gotta be honest, as far as Z is concerned thats great, but that mouth is not doing it for me at the edges toward the chin, it looks as though he wants to blow those nasty saliva bubbles that kids do. Sorry man but thats what it looks like, otherwise the usual good standard of model

Cheers
Jay

cool thanks for comments.

but i really did the semi cofused / pessimistic he kinda has on purpose. i saw an old man face on 3d.sk doing the exact same thing.

im not aiming for perfection, just realism. in real life facial expressions vary so much.
he has a unique character i think. user added image

maybe it will be more clear with the shading and textures.

the sss shader is the fast skin sss shader in maya and xsi.

That render looks very realistc. The only thing which looks strange to me are the wings of the nose. They seem a bit to narrow and look like they were seperated from the face.

Some stuble on the face would really add to it too.
